BIG AM 820 is the Punjabi version of CINA 1650 Radio, Toronto’s dominant South Asian radio station since December 2008. 

While CINA 1650 is mainly a Bollywood music station, the airplay of the large treasure of Punjabi music remains limited in the Greater Toronto & Hamilton Areas. BIG AM fills that gap. It is a radio station dedicated to broadcasting the biggest Punjabi hits from India, UK and Canada.

At 50,000 watts, BIG AM is one of Canada’s most powerful radio stations, with clear signal not only in the GTA and Hamilton areas,

but also in Kitchener-Waterloo-Cambridge, Woodstock, Barrie, Oshawa and beyond.

OUR MISSION

BIG AM is aims to be the go-to media for music, news and information for the South Asian community of Southern Ontario.

It signals the beginning of a positive change in Canada’s  ethnic broadcasting landscape. 

BIG AM plays one more important role, attracting the younger generation and focus on their musical interests.

Most youngsters are comfortable communicating in English, but they listen mostly to modern Punjabi music.  

15 YEARS MILESTONE

On January 26, 2024 CINA Radio Group completed 15 years on air. When it comes to Canada’s Indian radio,

CINA is the brand which comes up to the front. CINA Radio Group has grown to a number of radio stations as follows:

Our leadership:
